We had a great time practicing archery and rowing on the lake. I can't wait until our next Regency event!

Picnic Bonnet Pictures
On Sunday we had some friends over for a Regency Picnic. I had fun making gowns and bonnets. Here are a couple of my favorites. They include my placemat bonnets, both poke and stovetop, and a stovetop bonnet make entirely of buckram.

Quilts and Other Baby Goodies
We know lots of new babies these days, which is an excuse for making fun little gifts.
Both of our new cousins have little boys, one born last December, one due next month, and I made baby quilts for them.
My friend, a Harry Potter fan, is expecting twins later this month. My sister Allie knit them Gryffindor sweaters for when they are good, and Slytherin ones for when they are naughty. Here they are modeled by several of my goblin dolls.
Allie made this adorable sweater with ears for another recent baby.
What fun babies are!

Happy Valentine's Day!
I've finally finished my valentines, and just in time, too. I made several different styles of silk sachets and stuffed them all with dried lavender from my herb garden. The ones with stamps turned out really well.
I just used regular stamp pads and the ink didn't bleed into the silk at all. I'm giving those ones to people at work. I made little pyramid boxes to put them in, and used one of the same stamps on the outside.
The ones with the silk ribbon roses took longer to make, but I think my mom and sister will love them.
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!

Early Valentines
I've started on my valentines already. I went for a long weekend at the beach and I brought a bunch of silk and ribbons and stamps to make lavender sachets. Here are the raw materials.
And here are the some in-progress examples.
More pictures when they're finished!

Aprons, Aprons Aprons!
I've have been having lots of fun with aprons lately. I went to a cookie decorating party before Christmas with the little girls I used to nanny for, so I made them each a little apron with a nesting doll motif. I enjoyed using lots of bright pink and ruffles and making them very girly.
Today is my best friend's birthday, and she loves Alice in Wonderland, so I made her an Alice-themed apron. Once again, I had a blast making it, and I got an email from her husband saying she loves it.
I'm working on my apron pattern and hope to put it on my etsy store soon, with a couple of new motifs, including an owl which I just love. Fiona
