Autumn Regency Assembly

The Northern contingent of the Emerald Valley Regency organized our first event last month, an evening assembly in Junction City.  It was an evening of dance and divination, appropriate for November.  Many of these lovely photos were taken by my friend Mark, our resident photographer.

 There was dancing, of course!

And lots of lovely conversation.

… as well as the traditional tarot cards.

We even had a deck of Jane Austen tarot cards.

It was a wonderful evening, and we were delighted that we pulled it off!

Decorating a Tree

        We just finished our Thanksgiving weekend open house at the winery, and Allie and I made some homemade ornaments to decorate a little fir tree that needed to be cut down anyway (it was growing on the dam to our pond).  We set it up in the winery and it looked beautiful and smelled great.  It was a lovely addition to the holiday atmosphere.

This morning I saw some very lucky turkeys foraging for acorns under the oak trees by our Maypole.  I’m sure they are glad Thanksgiving is over!



Costume Day!

I couldn't pick just one costume to wear to work today,

so I started as Little Red Riding Hood...

...and then traded the basket and cape for

a tricorn to become a pirate.

My little sister wore one of my witch hat fascinators...

...and so did my Mom.
